LOST cellphone…almost…LOST kingdom…ETHERIA…
December 13, 2005Been soooooo busy in school today - consultations, getting materials for my portfolio, fixing nominations for the upcoming Tag Team Awards, meeting with Jed and Melanie, shooting extra footage for the video track, and so much more tha
t I left my priceless cellphone in the faculty lounge! Good thing i remembered to text Trini on my way home…if not, I wouldn’t know that my cell is gone! well, almost! WHEW! now, I owe Rico breakfast tomorrow…hehehehe…well, coz its not the first time i left my cell in school…and it was also Rico who kept it for me…Good thing, Melanie still has load (well, her last…) to text Jag about my cell, and Jag turned it over to Rico…WHEW! (again)…and few minutes ago, when I was checking my organizer, looking inside my bag, I realized, I also lost my brand new black gel pen! WAAAH! AM I GETTING OLD OR WHAT?!?
When I get home, I learned that my daughter, Kiana, texted me for some “pasalubong”…and what did i tell her? “ow, sorry, i forgot my cell in school…” and she just embraced me and cried…she never thought i wouldn’t get her text! awwww! such tears make my heart break! she’s crying for some…tortillos! and like every mom who sees her daughter crying, I panicked! and told her, “lets go to 7-11 and buy tortillos!” then, i felt my tummy rumbling for food! and said, “teka lang, kain muna ako, ok lang?”…and such a sweet girl she was, she said, “ok…”
Enjoying my dinner, watching TV, I realized that tonight is the pilot episode of Etheria!
Gosh! I almost forgot! I’ve been dying to watch it! Atleast the first episode (to see if its really good…) and so, I just asked Malou (our ever responsible helper) to buy some tortillos nearby…I patiently waited for Etheria (watching Sugo for the meantime)….I thought, it should be worth my time! (watched Mel & Joey last night and saw some teasers, I couldn’t wait to see the Pilot ep!)
The Pilot episode of Etheria didn’t fail me…The visual effects looked like it was given enough time for modelling and rendering…The shots are also cinematic! Soft lighting, smooth camera movement, etc…Watching Etheria made me realize that there are still producers out there who are willing to invest their money into exemplary skills in production design, direction, screenplay, cinematography, musical scoring and visual effects… Giving the audience a tasteful show to watch! And getting high ratings as a reward…Seeing a good “tele-fantasya” like Etheria encourage me to support local channels…And I know that other Filipinos like me would support such shows too! One thing I don’t like about Etheria so far, is the acting of some of its actors. Most of the main characters of Etheria are GMA talents, so its understood why they were part of the cast. But over-all, I must say that Etheria could match international shows…and I am proud that we Filipinos are producing shows like this, eventhough we know that the industry is dying…
Etheria is a prequel to Encantadia. It will answer questions that Encatadia failed to answer…Such as, the true identity of Cassiopea, why is Hagorn the father of Pirena, what happened to the other kingdoms of Encantadia, the history of the gem of power, the history of Encantadia among others….There are lots of questions about the characters and mysteries of Encantadia, and I hope Etheria will keep its promise to answer these questions…The four Sang’gres (Pirena, Alena, Amihan and Danaya) and Haring Ybrahim are still part of the main characters of Etheria…But there are more characters to watch out for in the next few episodes…In the pilot episode, we only met most of them…and we are still going to know more about them as the story progresses…oh I can’t wait!
Etheria is something I will look forward to every night…The same way with Encantadia…Well, as long as I am home and not busy, I’m sure I can watch it…
Congratulations to the whole cast and crew of Etheria! and Congratulations to GMA7! Please continue to produce international quality shows like Etheria! So other producers will follow your lead….our entertainment industry rising back to its glory!
